I simply adore that song by India.Arie..so true..it’s the little things which really brighten my day..so here’s my ode to the little things in my life
- Waking up to sunny blue skies (though not strictly warm right now..a blue sky always lifts my spirits).
- Receiving a lovely message from a pal…I really needed it..so thanks..and so appreciating the few good friends I have.
- Being brought breakfast in bed…sigh..pure bliss
- Good music….always works
- A sunny day..especially in the afternoon…lying on the grass somewhere…bring on the summer..quick!!
- Babies….there is something so enchanting about them (I just watched a video clip of a baby laughing coz of bn given papers to tear up…it really made my day)..if I could figure out how to post it here I would
- Flowers…unexpected…so it was quite a lovely surprise.
- Food cooked by my mummy…being far from home..you really miss such things..I always wonder why everyone loves their mother’s food (or father’s..whatever your case maybe)
- A good book..I love losing myself in a good story..fictional or not..they really need to open free public libraries with a good selection of books at home.
- Road trips..I adore them..especially as a child..My sister and I used to sit at the back and face the back window to look at the cars behind us..and wave..lol..good times..
- Swings…I love swinging..still excites me..

aaaaah, the good ol’ road trip. heaven i tell you. and the sitting in the grass, i try and do it every time i go shaggz. i have this fence post i sit on (don’t ask, but it’s wide enough…honest!). the innocence and simple-to-please characteristics of a baby…lakini wakifika 5…woi!

a doze of one of those per day would be really good… especially the breakfast in bed and road trip…
i would add watching a good movie on a rainy day, lying on the coach with only a robe on and a hot cup of chocolate… wonderful!

@ Modo…fence post??? Lakini I have to admit I love shaggz as well..there is this rough hewn bench outside my grandma’s house..sitting there sipping a coke while the sun is shinning….bliss
