Sand in my shoes

Okie so this post is 2 pronged…the first is about my new obsession..Nollywood…the second..hmm…a rant, of sorts.

So Val and her sis have decided we shall have a serious Naija movie watching session…so started with “Back from America 2“…we didn’t get to see part one sadly…Aki this movie was the strangest thing I ever saw..honestly…it had 2 children in gangsta looking clothes..they were so tiny yet had tattoos…chains on their neck and all…apparently they had just come back from America to hold Hiphop shows…

It had a hiphop soundtrack and to be honest it sounded like the director or whoever was just adding the songs that were on his playlist..coz the music didn’t end!! As in there was a continuous flow of music throught mpaka we got tired of straining to hear the dialogue and abandoned the movie halfway through..

Day 2: “Sand in my shoes“…so this guy called Kyrian sends a messenger to his girlfriend’s house with an engagement ring..and telephones her (she’s called Bebe) to ask her to marry him..(hmm..we argued over whether that was romantic or not..what do you think??) So she accepts and he rushes off to her house..on his way he accidentally hits this woman (called Joan) who was running across the road and didn’t look where she was going..so Kyrian and Joan’s fiance Alex take her to hospital. Turns out Joan is an althete and Alex was her coach..so in hospital she’s told that she’s broken her legs and can’t compete in the competition thats in 3 weeks time.

So the coach Alex turns into a psycho stalker..and starts stalking Bebe..ati she’ll become the replacement athlete..and if thats not enough for the poor woman to deal with, her fiance Kyrian decides to break off the engagement ati coz he feels Joan needs him more than his fiancee…can you believe that??? He says ati coz Alex and Joan broke up he feels he’s the one who is now closest to Joan..and the only one who can truly be there for her..

His fiancee calls and tells him the mad man is outside her house and he tells her to stay inside..and he’ll kuja when he can ati coz he has to go see Joan……I got so mad I couldn’t watch part 2…

In case you’re wondering what the title means…When Kyrian hit Joan, he put sand in her shoes coz she broke her legs and couldn’t participate in the athletic competition coming up.

Now onto the second part of my post…I’m honestly tired of being an emotional dustbin for some people..why do people feel that they can just take out their bad moods on you whenever they feel like?? Just because we’re related doesn’t give you as right..

And they seem to think they can just dump on you and expect you not to get upset…whats up with that??? One thing I hate is when someone insists that I’m angry when I know that I’m not…..because the more you keep insisting, the more likely it is that I will get angry…

Wooosaaaa…Methinks I’m going to play some relaxing neo-soul..and emotionally detox myself…work can go hang!!
