Val was in the +254 this weekend..(decided to take a break from my Naija and Bollywoodness)…and the dust on that bit of diversion in Kajiado has me coughing and feeling general yuckiness…uuurrgghhh!!! That road challenges the purpose of having a wo-wo-wo..coz the gari rattles and shakes and by the time you get home, every bit of you is in pain!!! Now I wonder…those people who fall under Boyfulani’s category of being “Close to the bone“….how do they feel when they go on long journeys on African roads which are usually not so smooth??? (Note: I’d add the link to the post but I’m scared the comp will seize up..somethings are beyond its control…its the “I like my girls thin post”..lol)
Random thoughts from me on this post btw..
Í was listening to the radio..BBC and the topic was Albinoism..Apparently wagangas in Kenya and Tanzania are killing them in order to use their bodies for witchcraft purposes..How wrong is that?? Apparently they use their hair, hands and blood in order to make their medicines..so sad..Now the presenter was asking if there needs to be special legislation in order to protect them..ama would that isolate them even more…hmmm..that was definite food for thought..I mean..it says that its an offence to kill a human being right? So why people don’t treat them like human beings in beyond me. They say that the situation is slightly better in Uganda..Now I don’t have the statistics on that..I just wish Kenyans and Tanzanians could learn from them.
So Val is an aunt…yeii!! my cousin and his wife had a baby girl jana ..he’s my first cousin and I love him to bits..still haven’t met her though…and they had another rushed wedding but oh well…diff strokes for diff folks..I like babies though..so there are plans to go visit them in the +256…which should be nice..I’ve always wanted to go to UG…
Random observations about myself this Monday morning:
- Loving my newly done hair…I’ve decided that hairdressers in Arusha cannot blowdry hair to save their life..so goodbye to the puff I had last week..hello shiny straight-ness!
- I want to host a radio show…like seriously.
- I can’t wait for this internship to be over….I need a seriously holiday..somewhere hott and relaxed…trying to angle for Zanzibar..not feeling that long bus ride to Dar though…
