Husband acquiring (and keeping) clothes

July 30, 2008 · 15 Comments

When I got home from work jana, I showered and wore my comfy house clothes…put some tea and digestives on the table (comfort eating is dunking a digestive into the fragrant chai before you eat)…I had wrapped my legs in my fave Maasai blanket..mummy on the sofa next to me..and a nice book at my side..bliss!

Until my beloved mother looks at what I’m wearing, and starts wondering (out loud) what kind of wife I’d make…according to her, I should be dressed just as nicely as I was dressed when I was going to work..

I kinda think this defeats the purpose of comfy clothes…mebe I should have started off by saying I’m a fan of the “Kamba colours”  look..for me, the brighter the better!! So jana I was in a green sweater, a cream-ish tshirt, blue pj bottoms with some yellow flowers, and multi coloured socks (striped red, green and blue). And I was perfectly comfortable in this ensemble.

So she says ati I won’t get a husband…because when I’m out of the house I try and match my clothes..and actually look presentable..so the man looks pleased..and woe to him when he finds me at home..ati he’ll think he was cheated!!

I laughed myself crazy..but now methinks she has a point..so off to look for sleeping and chilling out clothes that actually match, so as not to offend the beloved.

Thinking about that, I remember reading in an OK! that there are some clothes that attract husbands..lol, so according to Vic Beckham (Why are the British so obsessed with everything she does), you need skinny jeans, a a tight fitting top and a pair of killer heels. So now I talked about this with my best friend, and too my surprise she also has a husband acquiring outfit..so that got me thinking…so if you have one, feel free to share it with us. (me especially..as clearly I need help in that dept)

Moving on, mummy dearest has decided her other vocation in life is to be one of those wagangas you see advertised on the road..The type who can treat everything..the day before I was forced to chew raw cloves of garlic!!! Jana it was chicken soup..yummy??? yep, except for the fact that it was loaded with so much ginger and garlic…so I was happy we had no plans to go anywhere..or see anyone..because those combined aromas would just err..put anyone off! This flu had better end ASAP!!! because I’m dreading whats on todays menu…

Happy am I…I’m actually getting Beyonce: The presidents daughter. So no making plans for next week..I shall be in Nollywood. So today’s shout-outs go to you!
