The end of an era

January 8, 2009 · 9 Comments

Its so sad to say goodbye….you’ve been with me from the start. Been there when I was sad and upset and just needed to chill out in the dark and listen to music, been there when I was in my happy moments, from cooking sessions, gossip sessions with the girls, random dance sessions in the kitchen/lounge, chilled out moments with the Mr. Good times!

So it kinda feels like the end of an era. Good thing it came with the New Year…new beginnings and all that. In case you’re wondering what I’m referring to, talking bout my ancient Advent…that has over the years deteriorated and become a box with Itunes..that works when it feels like it and re-boots itself  countless number of times without warning. I’d say my problems with it started when my neighbour formatted it in Polish…hehe..it rebelled and hasn’t been the same since..sigh..So we’re moving onwards…

So who has already broken their New Year’s resolutions? Why do we feel the urge to make life-changing decisions during the New Year? As in the whole year you’ve bn happy, or complacent (B can I borrow this?)  with your life, then think that things will magically change on the 1st January? Anyhu, let me stop being pessimistic, as Haji says (in Johnny Quest) “The pessimistic only sees the hole, while the optimistic sees the doughnut
