Not as enthusiastic as I was yesterday…they do say the first 2 days are the worst…and what I’m craving now is undescribable. Anyhu, lets carry on….
Managed to stick to my routine today despite the temptations and cravings (woop)
Breakfast:
Woke up feeling so hungry (Damn that Chocolat movie!)…so threw in a quick slice of toast with my tea. Then had a mix of banana, green grapes and kiwi yoghurt.
Energy boost:
After class, I came home feeling so hungry, so decided to immediately whip up a batch of smoothie otherwise I’d be at the corner shop buying chocolate faster than you can say “Remember the detox!”. So I mixed in some orange and mango juice, banana, clementines, apple and pear. Made about 2 glasses of this, and kept sipping it while working. It was yum..and helped me stop craving chocolate (for a short time anyway).

Late lunch:
Smoothie made from raspberries, strawberries, red grapes and pineapple juice. This was so smooth…yum! Decided to make a salad as well. Mushrooms, onions, green peppers, salad leaves and slices of ham (for taste)…It took all my will power NOT to add in garlic and herb dressing…and was quite pleased with myself for resisting.

Had another glass of the lunchtime smoothie as the day went on, and a couple cups of peppermint tea (working from home today had its advantages..)
Dinner:
By this time I was already irritable and cranky (from hunger I guess, and from you tweeting about cake..lol) Had 2 cups of vegetable soup. I needed to take a break from all the fruit and raw veg salad..
Thoughts:
- Today was a really hard day, thank goodness I didn’t have afternoon class, coz I’m sure I’d have broken my routine if I saw someone else eating the yummy forbidden stuff like chocolate.
- I need to make some vegetable juice tomorrow…..a bit of a change.
- Cannot wait for tomorrow evening, which is when the detox/diet officially ends!
